Scholars are the nemeses of Harley P. Mathewson and the JUOD Movement. Despite the academic image they portray, scholars generally possess feeble minds. As such, they tend to find death quickly, usually through not joining.

It has been conjectured that scholars are in fact the group behind the rarely-mentioned Anti-JUOD group known as STAL. However, as that group has never been confirmed to actually exist, there is virtually no evidence supporting this link.
