First JUOD Revival

The First JUOD Revival began in the spring of 2004 as a simple strategy to completely ruin the MMORPG game Star Wars Galaxies. At this time, the game was largely unbalanced by the superiority of the elite jedi virgin-douche bag super nerds. The plan was to band (i.e. join) all jedi characters on the Bloodfin server together in a super guild that would stop at nothing to grief all non-joiners. It was executed as such: a joiner would ask a jedi if he would join and thus partially release him from douche-baggery, and also presented him with the alternative of death. If he joined, he continued the quest of getting all jedi avatars to join the super guild. If he chose death, he was faced with never-ending death from the super-guild until he later joined or quit the game entirely.

The Proposition for joining was commonly stated in the most concise and understandable method possible:

“Join us... or die!!!1”

The punctuation was omitted over time, and henceforth the joiners' movement began to be known by this catchphrase; JUOD was born.

After little success in the gaming world, the phenomenon quickly spread to the real world, resulting in several hundred instances of joining, and an unknown but certainly large number of deaths. This later became known as the Second JUOD Revival.
