This needs to be cleaned up and split into sections. Say, biography, works, notable achievements, and trivia? Longer stuff like the cosmetic surgery theory, bubble travel, and the Harley-Davidson story should get their own pages.
Better chronology
We need to work out some more plausible dates. Currently HPM founded Mathewsonism in 1889, when only 5 volumes of TVOJ existed. Volume VI was in New Canadianese, which he didn't learn until the late 20s. For there to be the translation issue, he can't have recruited followers until returning from Oxford in the early 30s. If he composed many novellas during the Great Depression, then he can't have translated TVOJ into English until at least 1936 or so. That's a long time to stretch out the founding of Mathewsonism.
So either Mathewsonism needs to be founded later, or the translation ought to occur earlier, or something else. Ideas?
Overhaul
Okay, I'm going to attempt to overall this page and get a lot of the extra stories, etc., off the page and onto their own. We'll see how it goes. I like the main sections--Bio, Works, Current Whereabouts and Controversy, and the Legacy & Trivia. So I'm going to limit it down to those main sections. Right now it seems that the page doesn't particularly flow well; since this is arguably the most important page on the Wiki, it needs to do that. But if anyone else wants to edit too, by all means. -- Gwalklin 14:15, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Guys, just so we are clear on this: when I put the text "(right)" in the original caption of the Mathewson pic, it was part of a joke. It was supposed to be an indicator that Mathewson was _the person on the right side of the image_, i.e., not the woman. It has nothing to do with the right-alignment of the image on the page. So, when you're copying and pasting the code to place images, please remove it. (Unless you are trying to make some sort of meta-joke about all the pics that mistakenly still have "(right)" suffixes, in which case: stop doing that too.) --Andrew 00:31, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
