The Kraken

The Kraken is one of the famous animal joiners, a giant sea monster who lives somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. Like the Leviathan, the Kraken is quite lonely, and his frequent attempts to make friends with ships have been frequently misconstrued as attacks.

Friendship with Leviathan

At one time in the very distant past, the Kraken and the Leviathan were seen attacking ships together, eating all the sailors aboard and scaring schools of fish. But one day, a time-traveler appeared and tamed the Leviathan, taking him forward into the future with him so he could have cheap and free transport from America to England. This traveler was, of course, Harley P. Mathewson. Mathewson's choice of Leviathan over the Kraken, and the Leviathan's subsequent disappearance, led to a rift in the friendship of the Kraken and Leviathan. Lonely, the Kraken began to "wrestle" with ships, in hopes of taking them to his underwater palace to "play." Unfortunately, the Kraken never quite understood that doing this would drown all the sailors.
