Wildebeests are widely known for being among the stupidest of residents in the Animal Kingdom. As such, they possess feeble minds and are despised by Harley P. Mathewson.

Origin of Status as Non-Joiners

Once, while watching a herd of Wildebeest attempt to drink from an African river, Mathewson commented, "You damn fools, it's not a log! How many times will it take you idiots to watch National Geographic and realize this!?!" Just as he said this, a huge Nile Crocodile emerged from the river and snatched the leader of the herd. Mathewson was thoroughly satisfied with the meal that followed, as any creature possessing a feeble mind deserves to suffer such fate.
